This is another close-up of one of my favourite flowers, the
peony. My neighbour had a particularly
nice crop of them this year and was kind enough to let me snap some reference
photos of them while in bloom. I love to
work at capturing the light and shadow contrast as well as the subtle colour
variations within the petals.
